Amanda Espinosa DVM

Dr. Espinosa comes from the land of 10,000 lakes (Minnesota), where she attended Carleton College for her undergraduate degree and the University of Minnesota for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Espinosa has special interests in neurology, surgery, and pain relief. She currently lives in Albuquerque with her husband, two children, and a Border Collie/Rottweiler mixed breed dog.

Whitney Jones DVM

Dr. Jones is a native of New Mexico and a graduate of NMSU. She traveled to the Caribbean to obtain her degree in veterinary medicine from Ross University and spent her clinical year in Minnesota, where she grew to love lakes and watching snowfall. In her free time, you can find her baking, camping, running with her island dog, Clooney, or relaxing with her inquisitive cat, Sterling.

Alice Ku DVM

Dr. Ku was born and raised in Guam and moved to California for college. She worked as an investment researcher for several years before going back to school for veterinary medicine. In May 2011, she graduated from Colorado State University as a DVM. Her special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and just about anything she gets to work on.

Eric Randall DVM

Dr. Randall was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s in biology and a minor in chemistry and psychology. He then worked as a veterinary technician here at Petroglyph Animal Hospital for two years before moving to Pomona, California. There, he attended the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2022, he was happy to rejoin the team at Petroglyph. His interests include imaging, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and exotics medicine.

Cassidy Stone DVM

Cassidy Stone is a native New Mexican who fell in love with veterinary medicine during her undergraduate work at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. She went to Colorado State University for veterinary school. Her interests include ultrasonography, surgery, and small animal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and playing board games.

Kariana Atkinson DVM

Dr. Atkinson grew up in El Rito, NM. After studying biology at New Mexico State University, she finished veterinary school at Colorado State University in 2011. In addition to enjoying working with cats and dogs, her special interests include exotics and wildlife. Dr. Atkinson limits her practice to very part-time to give her the opportunity to pursue her educational goals.

Susan Erika Argeres DVM

Dr. Argeres is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist who has been with Petroglyph Animal Hospital since 2003. Her practice consists of acupuncture, massage, and laser therapy with a focus on treating orthopedic and neurological issues. Dr. Argeres is the creator and host of the Dog & Cat World Summit. When not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Madison Pegouske DVM

Dr. Pegouske is from Alabama where she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in Huntsville while running cross country and track. She then went on to earn her veterinary degree from Auburn University. Dr. Pegouske moved to Albuquerque in 2023 with her husband, three cats (Bilbo, Mr. Bond, and Ally), and their three-legged pit bull (Brody). Her interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and feline medicine. In her free time, Dr. Pegouske enjoys hiking, traveling, and board game nights with friends.

Hussain Ashraf DVM

I’m a veterinarian originally from Pakistan, where I completed my DVM degree in 2021. After gaining some initial clinical experience, I moved to Dubai and worked there for 1.5 years before relocating to the United States, where I’ve been practicing since last year. My professional interests include small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery, and outside of work, I love playing chess, going on hikes, and exploring new places.

Muhammad Sarmad DVM

I’m a small animal veterinarian originally from Pakistan, where I earned my DVM in 2017. After several years of clinical experience, I moved to the U.S. and currently practice in Rio Rancho, with a special interest in reconstructive surgery and internal medicine.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me playing video games, watching soccer, or exploring new places around town.

Viviana Sanchez DVM

Dr. Sanchez was born in California, raised in Texas and completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston. She then went to complete her veterinary medicine degree at the home of the cowboys, Oklahoma State University. Her interests include surgery, cytology, diagnostic imaging and small animal medicine. She is also working on her Spanish Medical Interpreter Certification to better serve the Spanish speaking community. Her current interests include playing soccer, walking her dog Goku, trying new places to eat and watching classical horror movies.
